June 12, 2009 - 14uComics is putting on the breaks!
You heard right.
With commissions and illustrations requests being the focus of work, Richard Can’t keep up with the development of the comics. Richard has always been an illustrator first. That is how the comics came to being what they are. Renovations have also taken a chunk out of available time, which we all knew would stall things a bit. Add to that the day-to-day function of living and operations it was just not possible to continue with a web comic and two new books... Whoa!
Does it ever stop? No, not when you choose to follow your passions.
As of today, it is prudent to go on hiatus. The length of time is not known. We do hope it will be shorter then a longer break.
June 3, 2009 - Talk about mass appeal... 14uComics founder Richard Grzela has his “Sketch” book on the Amazon.com site. Yes, he is humble by saying the first Orange covered book is the only one you need but rumor has it two of his “Sketch” books are up.
Just search out "GRZELA".
May 17, 2009 - A successful launch of the ashcan version of the book titled “Tarnished Legion” has prompted the comic to go into full production introducing one of the main antagonists from the Tarnished Legion ranks still coming to terms with him self and the place he holds in the group.
Richard has finished his interview with Kevin from www.thefabler.com that interview can be found on their blog. Could there be any more from our updates? Visit back to find out.
April 28, 2009 -The web comic has been updated a few days early with a bunch of pages. That breaks our one page per month obligation. Yahoo… Unfortunately, we might be missing Junes update due to renovations. We had a blast at the Calgary Expo. Richard spent the Sunday afternoon with Sean Astin (Yes the hobbit), worked his tail off setting up the stage for the costume show as well. The local camera crew guys were amazing, it seemed they followed him around to get the best leads. He even managed to get one cameraman on stage for some additional filming.... talk about pulling strings!
Now back to work! However, we all had a good time thanks to attendees, staff and volunteers at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo.
April 17, 2009 - We have been handing out post cards for the Calgary Expo. A nice little piece of work. You can grab tickets for the Calgary Expo at almost every comic store in Calgary. |
