Yassif -
Goblin - High Lord Master of Magic- 4ft. 6in. tall - 250 years
old, also believed to be immortal by goblins at large. - 50 pounds. |
 |
Having brought four goblin tribes to power and influence
in the northern mountains of the Eastern lands, Yassif now
seeks to improve his own power base. His drive has granted
him the attention of the dark powers. Some would even say
they are gods of evil because they are so powerful. Yassif
gained his great power at a young age after the discovery
of a book he took from a mage defeated in the mountains in
a duel. The duel was so spectacular that he desperately wanted
to have any trophy that would grant him even the smallest
amount of the power that he saw on display that day. Yassif
read this Demonic book cover to cover several times over the
next few years making him a formidable mage at the age of
twenty-three. A long life indeed for a goblin that is usually
target practice for most others on the surface world. He has
kept the demonic book well hidden and never speaks of it.
He knows all spells and can cast every spell in the great
book. He carries very little on his person preferring to appear
as much as a goblin warrior as possible to remain little to
no threat to any who see him. This gives him a tremendous
edge against enemies. Those who do look him over will notice
what little clothing he has on is made from the hide of a
Basilisk. Most would disregard the hide as scavenged from
a kill. Goblins that see his clothing will recognize this
as the testament of his strength and react with respect. Yassif
has killed not only a Basilisk but also the last dragon that
lived in the northern tunnels in the Eastern lands. First

Animated
Dead - The history of such creatures
are varied and sordid in life. |
 |
In death they are little more then puppets on the same string.
Nasty mixes of decaying flesh and broken bodies, they are
an abomination to living things. By being animated they are
forced into servitude for a master of magic. Some masters
have a few such slaves, others many hundreds. In Marbalonia
only the bodies of criminals who have not been given legal
pardons can be used. These sentinels are extremely cost effective
because they do not eat, sleep, or stop their duties until
they disintegrate from wear and tear. Only storage space is
required or a long task to keep them out of the way. They
are mindless abominations that have no fear, emotion, or discrimination
as to what they do. They are highly sensitive to flames and
heat, which causes them to combust. First Seen in ISSUE #

Parova
- Human - Rogue scholar - 5ft. 9in. 173 pounds
- 26 years old. |
 |
Forced to leave school at the age of ten to work in a factory,
Parova continued to educate himself with books he stole from
wealthy merchant stores on his way home from the factory.
His fast fingers were first noted at the ripe age of twelve
and he was offered a great job as a merchant consultant for
a thieves guild. The exchange was double the pay he was earning
at the factory and all the books he could get his hands on.
His first theft job was to take a rare tome from a priest
who was bringing the book from a cathedral in the South.
The job was too easy! As a reward for the speedy job, he was
allowed to read the book before the guild fenced it back to
the church for a princely sum. The reading changed young Parova's
life forever. He then chose to only do noble tasks for the
guild, such as information gathering and scouting. At the
age of 15 he wrote his first book, 'A Guide to Sights and
Sounds of Winnoko.' His second publication was an instructional
guide, 'Training in the Acrobatic Arts.' Both books sold so
well that by the age of 18 he was offered a full teaching
position at the wizard university in Marblonia. It was here
that he learned of the gate to a legendary Tomb of Anarchy.
He has spent years planning an invasion into the Mage Lord's
home. Now in his mid-twenties he is making the attempt. First

Oracle
- Shadow Manx -1ft.1in. tall - 700 years old,
however believed to be immortal. 1.5 pounds. |
 |
The Oracle, who is all knowing and all seeing, is part of
a race of Ferial Shadow beasts that hold a mastery of all
Shadow powers. He is unlike others of his race and is a master
of psionic mind powers. With this achievement, the Oracle
has a natural ability to use shadows as gateways, to manipulate
them, and to use them as energy sources for other devastating
effects. He has predicted the future and is often called upon
by all races and dispositions for guidance. It is believed
that he is one of only three beings who have mastery of the
most powerful magic in the land. He is most famous for predicting
the last eight successors of the kingdom of Marbalonia, as
well as the shift of power from the Eastern lands to those
in the West. He knew of the automation and the rise of machine
power in the West and the influence it would gain in the world.
The Oracle truly believes that the world will revert to a
total natural state of balance at some point as well, although
the timeline is vague. For those in tune with magic, the Oracle
was the great negotiator of the Dark Ark's survival by ensuring
that it had a place in the modern world. His direct intervention
has kept the elves alive longer on this planet by granting
them two powerful spells to ensure that they remain a balancing
force in the world.

Klu -
amphibian reptile - scavenger - adults are 12 in. long, 50 grams. |
 |
Klu, pronounced clue (kloo) is a common name for many underground
scavengers. In fact, it is called such a name because it means
get a clue. This creature eats meat and kills large living
things. These creatures have large powerful claws to grasp
onto the smallest of divots in stonewalls to scale them. Each
of the powerful claws has attached to it a webbed foot that
allows the Klu to swim faster than most predators. Being almost
blind, these creatures communicate and navigate with echo
sound location similar to that of bats. The Klu breed and
mate in the water, leaving their young to fend for their selves
once hatched. On land they eat by regurgitating stomach acid on their
prey. In the water, Klu eat by sucking the whole prey into
their bellies and then they use their gills to filter out
the water impurities. They can live for up to five years.

Degoath
- Demon Master Chief- 6ft. 9in. 473 pounds
- age unknown. |
 |
All that is known about this demon is that it is in full
service to the magic lord. No one knows why or how it is bound
to its master. It could simply be that as long as it remains
on the property of the master it may slaughter any people
it may come across at will. It is not known how many trophies
this creature holds or where in the manor it lives, but it
has been spotted beyond the walls patrolling the grounds enough
times to be a real threat to treasonous passers.
